Walt's remake Disney for the 1994 classic The Lion King just got its first trailer. It first aired as a teaser during an NFL game for Thanksgiving.
The film is a paratreatment by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Iron Man Jon Favreau. It's a photorealistic, cinematic movie featuring tons of high-profile voice actors:
Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala and James Earl Jones as Mufasa. Elton John will edit some of his original compositions for the needs of the upcoming film.
In the Walt Disney trailer, we can see some moments from the beginning of the film, when Rafiki introduces the new Simba to the livestock of the Pride Lands, with the figure of Simba projected over a rock.
The film is scheduled to be released on July 19, 2019. Until then, watch the trailer:
