WebEKT Open Access to Knowledge through Digital Repositories & Libraries, Online Publishing, Research & Innovation Websites
An online directory of websites that he develops and supports recently launched the National Documentation Center (ESF) at http://web.ekt.gr. The WebEKT directory contains all the actions, projects and activities that the organization implements or participates in, and are accessible through the individual websites.
Navigating and exploring most of 60's different ESF websites is easy and enjoyable. WebEKT content is categorized, while in the presentation of each website, a short description of its identity is available in conjunction with a screenshot of the main web page. This makes it more effective to recognize and understand the content of each site.
Το WebΕΚΤ, που διατίθεται στα ελληνικά και αγγλικά, διευκολύνει την αναζήτηση ανοικτού ψηφιακού περιεχομένου επιστήμης και πολιτισμού στα Ψηφιακά Αποθετήρια και τις Ηλεκτρονικές Εκδόσεις που έχει αναπτύξει το ΕΚΤ - αρκετά από αυτά σε συνεργασία με άλλους οργανισμούς. Το διαθέσιμο επιστημονικό και πολιτιστικό περιεχόμενο προέρχεται από ελληνικές πηγές, ενώ συμβαδίζει με τις αρχές της Ανοικτής Πρόσβασης.
Στα ηλεκτρονικά αποθετήρια περιλαμβάνονται εκατομμύρια ηλεκτρονικές σελίδες με υλικό από όλες τις επιστήμες. Αυτά προσφέρουν ελεύθερη πρόσβαση σε πλούσιο archive research data and metadata, doctoral dissertations, books, studies, scientific publications, educational materials, open software and audiovisual applications.
The ePublishing online e-Publishing environment also provides open access to electronic journals, conference books and conferences, publishing services to the academic community, and a dynamic platform that gathers reputable publications from a wide range of scientific areas.
On WebEKT, the public has the possibility to browse the catalogs of Greek Digital Libraries organized by the ECB and hosted on its computer systems. THE user can search and browse rich collections of cultural and educational value of digital libraries that offer some of their material freely online.
Παρουσιάζονται, επίσης, οι ψηφιακοί διαδραστικοί χώροι που έχουν αναπτυχθεί από το ΕΚΤ σε συνεργασία με πολιτιστικούς φορείς και προσφέρουν στους χρήστες μία ολοκληρωμένη εμπειρία περιήγησης σε σημαντικά ελληνικά πολιτιστικά μνημεία και ιστορικούς χώρους. Οι εφαρμογές αυτές απευθύνονται τόσο σε ειδικούς επιστήμονες όσο στο ευρύτερο κοινό και στα children. Ο διαδικτυακός κατάλογος αναδεικνύει και τις δράσεις του ΕΚΤ για την Έρευνα, Ανάπτυξη & Καινοτομία, όπως τον δικτυακό τόπο "Δείκτες Έρευνας, Ανάπτυξης & Καινοτομίας" που παρέχει βιβλιομετρικές μελέτες για τις ελληνικές επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις, τα στατιστικά στοιχεία που αφορούν στην έρευνα και τεχνολογία, τις εθνικές επιδόσεις στην έρευνα-ανάπτυξη-καινοτομία, και γενικότερα την ελληνική ερευνητική δραστηριότητα σε όλο τον κύκλο ζωής της και τις ποικίλες πτυχές της.

Επίσης, το WebΕΚΤ παρέχει πληροφορίες σχετικά με τα Ευρωπαϊκά Έργα που συμμετέχει το ΕΚΤ, όπως το δίκτυο Enterprise Europe Network - Hellas, το μεγαλύτερο δίκτυο ολοκληρωμένης επιχειρηματικής supports in the country, made up of industrial associations, research and technological institutions, chambers of commerce and industry, and other renowned bodies in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
In summary, the WebEKT presents in a single point all the ESF websites and promotes the discovery of Open Access to Knowledge through the ESF actions for the collection, documentation, accumulation and long-term preservation of the reputable digital content produced by the Greek scientific, research and cultural community.
