The Directorate for the Prosecution of Electronic Crime filed a case file against two nationals, aged 31 and 51, administrators of a website on thenetwork, through which it was illegally sold objects which fall under the prohibitive provisions of the weapons legislation, namely tazers and pepper spray.
From the digital online survey, which took place in the context of privacy secrecy following a relevant Prosecution Order, the data of the two nationals as website administrators was identified.
During the investigations carried out by a police station at the Electronic Crime Division, two (2) internal computer hard drives were found and seized in the wider area of Heraklion, Crete.
The file that has been filed against them will be submitted to the appropriate Prosecutor's Offices, while seized digital media will be sent to forensic laboratories for further consideration.
