Wikipedia has launched a new feature called WikiVIP. The company wants to add the voices of celebrities and other well-known people to its online encyclopedia.

Considering that the encyclopedia can handle files for its platform, its editors began approaching celebrities and asking for a short audio clip of their voices.

The Wikipedia Voice Intro project aims to build a public and free to use collection of famous people's voices. The first to add a sample of his voice was Stephen Fry, the popular English actor and director.

Hopefully, most people will join in , now that the first has been officially updated. The BBC is also giving Wikipedia a helping hand. In particular he provided the website with short speech clips from some of the prohis.
