Wikipedia has launched a new feature called WikiVIP. The company wants to add the voices of celebrities and other well-known people to its online encyclopedia.
Considering that the encyclopedia can handle files sound for its platform, two its editors began approaching celebrities and asking for a short audio clip of their voices.
The Wikipedia Voice Intro project aims to build a public and free to use collection of famous people's voices. The first to add a sample of his voice was Stephen Fry, the popular English actor and director.
Hopefully, most people will join in program, now that the first σελίδα has been officially updated. The BBC is also giving Wikipedia a helping hand. In particular he provided the website with short speech clips from some of the proletterhis.
