Microsoft today announced (inadvertently) that the much-anticipated Anniversary Update or Anniversary Update for Windows 10 will be available on August 2.
The Anniversary Update will bring a lot of news characteristics and improvements to Windows 10.
Among the many others we can mention, support of Linux Bash, extensions for Microsoft Edge, Windows Ink for better ink support, updates and improvements to Cortana digital assistant and more.
Beyond the above, the new update will bring changes that improve usability and everyday activities when using the operating system.
So far, Microsoft has announced that it will release the Anniversary Update update in the summer of 2016.
The company had not provided more information to date, but most of those who followed the company's behavior believed it would be released one year after the official release of Windows 10.
Today, a press release posted in error by Microsoft revealed that the company will release the Anniversary Update of Windows Update 10 on August 2.
The announcement was available for very little, and only as a headline on the Microsoft News Center website, but it seems the company changed its mind and put it down very quickly.
We should mention that July 29 is also the date when the free offer expires upgrade in Windows 10. Microsoft has already announced that it will not extend the offer (although we don't think so) and that users only have until July 29, 2016 to get Windows 10 for free, as an upgrade from Windows 7 and 8.1.
