On Windows 10 systems with version 2004 or 20H2 there is one archive DumpStack.log.tmp, which slows down computer.
You will find the file in the path C: \ "DumpStack.log.tmp".
What does the DumpStack.log.tmp file do?
The file first appeared in Windows 8. It is used when Windows needs to write a dump. Is secret system file in the root of the C:\ drive or drive where Windows is installed. You can read about dump stacking from here and from here.
The file cannot be deleted by default because it is under the control of the operating system. Linking to the file can however be disabled by the register. To do this, follow the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl
You need to open the registry editor with administrator privileges (search for regedit / right click on the icon - run as administrator). There are two 32-bit DWORD values:
EnableLogFile = 00000001
LogLevel = fffffffd
If the DWORD 32-bit EnableLogFile value is set to 0 and you restart Windows 10, logging in the file will stop. You can then delete the DumpStack.log.tmp file.
