After the major updates (Threshold 2) in the new Windows 10 and Xbox One, Microsoft made it clear that Windows 10 is now ripe enough for companies to think about upgrading their systems.
The company has announced some new features for IT administrators to help them install Windows 10 in workspaces.
Microsoft's executive vice president of Windows, Terry Myerson, told the Windows Blog that the company is introducing two free services designed to bridge today's complexity in today's workplace, while maintaining control by providing quality and reliable services:
The Windows Update for business provides IT with control over product development within their businesses while ensuring that their devices are kept up to date with reduced management costs. Service features include building clusters of cluster devices and fast network facilities.
The Windows Store for Business on the other hand, provides IT with a flexible way of finding, acquiring, managing and distributing just the applications they need for company devices using Windows 10.
The updated ones programs are also expanding into device management and bringing two new features designed to empower results and security for everyone who uses multiple devices to do their work:
Mobile Device Management or Mobile Device Manager, provides full Enterprise Mobility management that can manage the entire family of Windows devices, such as computers, tablets, phones, and IOTs. Windows 10 is the only platform that can handle BYOD scenarios safely and securely.
Azure Active Directory Join, which allows IT to maintain a directory, which provides per name user regional security settings of Windows and data present on Windows 10 devices.
