After the major updates (Threshold 2) in the new Windows 10 and Xbox One, Microsoft made it clear that Windows 10 is now ripe enough for companies to think about upgrading their systems.
The company has announced some new features for IT administrators to help them install Windows 10 in workspaces.
Microsoft's executive vice president of the Windows division, Mr. Terry Myerson, posted on the Windows Blog that the company is introducing two free services, designed to bridge today's complexity in the modern workplace while maintaining control by providing quality and reliable service:
The Windows Update for Business gives IT control over product deployment within their businesses while ensuring their devices are kept up-to-date, at a reduced cost managements. Service features include device pooling with scalable installations and network-fast installations.
The Windows Store for Business on the other hand, provides IT with a flexible way of finding, acquiring, managing and distributing just the applications they need for company devices using Windows 10.
The updated programs also extend to device management and bring two new features designed to strengthen results and better safety to everyone who uses multiple devices to do their work:
Mobile Device Management or Mobile Device Management, provides the ability to fully manage Enterprise Mobility that can manage the entire family of Windows devices, such as computers, tablets, phones, and IOT. Windows 10 is the only one platform that can handle BYOD scenarios safely and confidently.
Azure Active Directory Join, which allows IT to maintain a directory that provides Windows user peripheral security settings and data on Windows 10 devices by user name.
