Windows 10 May 2020 Update, also known as the 2004 version, was released in May with at least ten known issues. Microsoft later expanded the list of issues by acknowledging that this update contained another bug in the Drive Optimize tool.
After upgrading to Windows 10 version 2004, the users noticed that Optimize Drives (also known as Disk Defragmenter) does not correctly record the last time it optimizes a drive.

So when you open the tool, you will see that the SSD drive you have in the computer it tells you that it "needs optimization" even though you have already manually optimized it.
As it "forgets" optimization times, the built-in Windows 10 maintenance tool starts rebuilding SSDs much more often when you restart Windows.
Post Windows 10 Build 19042.487 (February 20) currently released for Insiders, Microsoft has finally managed to fix the problem in the rebuild tool.
As you may know, the reconstruction of an SSD on a daily basis it's not a very good idea. After ignoring user reports and feedback for over 5 months, Microsoft has finally fixed the build issue with Build 19042.487 which is currently in channel Beta.
Microsoft is expected to release these updates to everyone (not just Insiders) via Windows Update and in version 2004 later this weekteam.
