Η Microsoft έχει ανακοινώσει ότι η 29η Ιουλίου θα είναι η ημερομηνία λήξης της δωρεάν προσφοράς για αναβάθμιση σε Windows 10. Σήμερα όμως η εταιρεία ανακοίνωσε ότι το promo της δωρεάν αναβάθμισης θα συνεχίζει να ισχύει για τους χρήστες που χρησιμοποιούν βοηθητικές τεχνολογίες (assistive technologies).
According to the company, they will be allowed to install the new operating system without having to pay a license.
Remember that after July 29, anyone who wants to upgrade to Windows 10 from a computer with Windows 7 or 8.1 will have to pay a license that costs $119 for Windows 10 Home.
But customers using assistive technologies such as screen readers will still be able to upgrade for free even after July 29.
Daniel Hubbell Microsoft says:
"Όπως ίσως θα έχετε ακούσει, η προσφορά δωρεάν αναβάθμισης σε Windοws 10 για τους πελάτες μας που τρέχουν Windows 7 ή Windows 8.1 έχει οριστεί να λήξει στις 29 Ιουλίου. Θέλουμε να διευκρινίσουμε ότι η προθεσμία δεν ισχύει για τους πελάτες που χρησιμοποιούν βοηθητικές τεχνολογίες. ...έχουμε δεσμευτεί να διασφαλίσουμε ότι οι χρήστες των υποστηρικτικών τεχνολογιών θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να αναβαθμίσουν σε Windows 10 δωρεάν."
Accessibility and the Window 10 Free Upgrade
The company from Redmond did not give more details about how Windows users with assistive technologies can have the free offer but promised to provide more information in the coming weeks.
