Microsoft is reportedly trying to take a different approach to entice Windows 8 users to upgrade to Windows 10 before the end of the free promo which ends on July 29.
This time the company is trying to attract some customers by donating a laptop.
A new campaign launched by the company in the United States promises to give users a free laptop computer as their existing PC can not be upgraded to Windows 10 on a full business day.
In other words, if your device is eligible for the free upgrade on Windows 10, but for some reason the staff in Microsoft stores cannot fully complete the installation of the new operating system in one working day, the company is giving away a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop for free.
Without a doubt, this is not going to happen, especially because the upgrading to Windows 10 does not take more than an hour.
The "offer" only applies to devices running Windows 8, ignoring Windows 7 users, despite statistics showing that the operating system launched in 2009 still runs on more than 40 percent of the world's computers. .
The promo ends on 29 July, the same day, ending with the free upgrade offer in Windows 10.
