The thriller continues: While Microsoft has at least reportedly encountered most of the problems in Windows 10 October 2018 Update, bugs continue to occur in some of the company's customers.
Apparently there is another bug, this time in the support for archives Windows 10 FLAC.
According to the postings on Microsoft forums, after installing Windows 10 October 2018 Update many users found that the functional their system no longer supported FLAC files.
The error is said to cause File Explorer errors that cannot read the metadata of the FLAC files in Groove Music but also Windows Media Player.
Users will notice the error if they upgrade from the previous version Windows 10 April 2018 Update. Microsoft is aware of this issue and seems to have already encountered the error in Windows 10 19H1 preview builds.
So maybe the fix will be released in the next Windows 10 October 2018 update.
