Microsoft has just released it Windows 10 Redstone build 14251 for Windows Insider Fast Ring subscribers. As those who pay attention to build numbers will have noticed, the company went from b 11102 to b 14251.
However, if you expect some significant improvement in this build's features, you will be disappointed as Microsoft developers are still engaged in performance improvements and bug fixes.
According to Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, this build fixes a lot of the errorthose that existed in previous versions.
Gabe Aul even mentioned the big change in the issue number:
"Historically, the mobile code base had a different version of the PC operating system code base because they were developed by different groups with different programs. With Windows 10, we became a team and brought these two codebases together….
As part of using the common code base, we decided that when this project is complete we will synchronize the builds numbers between the mobile and PC operating systems. Because the mobile code base we use has a larger number of PC builds, we had to increase the builds numbers. So the numbers went from 11105, 11106, 11107 to 14251. ”
This version of Windows 10 is currently only available for users of Fast Ring, but soon as it is known it may also be released from unofficial sources.
