Windows 10 S Mode: Microsoft had announced the change of the Windows 10 S version into a mode of Windows 10, and apparently it kept its promise and even automatically. S or S Mode essentially limits the use of Win32 software, a system we've known since the beginning of Windows.
The new way operation Windows 10 S is expected to be availables on most versions of Windows 10, whereas previously only Pro SKU users could upgrade (?).
Microsoft is preparing a new feature that will allow everyone to "switch to S mode" directly from the application "Settings." So the change Windows operation will be a matter of a few clicks.
This feature was first observed in Windows 10 build 17686, which was released through the program Windows Insider in rings Fast and Skip Ahead
The new build includes switching to S mode and will probably be an extra feature to see with the Redstone 5 upgrade expected in autumn. The Settings app in the new trial version contains a new option called Switch to S Mode.
It remains to be seen how Windows 10 S Mode will evolve in upcoming releases of Redstone 5, as the next version continues to grow daily.
