Windows 10 tomorrow more updates on Specter Variant 2

On the coming Tuesday (February 13, 2018) the users of 10 will receive the standard monthly cumulative updates, which will contain security fixes as well as performance improvements.

This month, however, Microsoft will also release Specter Variant 2 patches, as Intel has recently released revised updates for Skylake chips.

Microsoft will include these updates in Windows updates.Windows 10

Let us also mention that the new updates come after a huge fiasco that happened in January and are expected to correct the issues that caused previous patches.

In January 2018, Patch Tuesday did not release any substantial updates for Windows 10 as Microsoft tried to address the points of Meltdown and Spectre.

Updates released for some AMD systems were withdrawn shortly after the company discovered a number of issues that caused operating boot damage.

Although problems have been resolved since then, there are still users who are trying to install the updates or that their computers are still experiencing various problems and instabilities.

So 2018 February updates are supposed to resolve these issues.

Installing cumulative updates on Windows 10 systems is reported to be a challenge, as many of these patches cause problems, installation failures, or those known to all Windows users, BSODs.
