Windows 11 22H2 on Release Preview Channel

Windows 11 22H2 are located in the final stage of testing, since the new version of the operating system is expected to be released for everyone by October.

Today, Microsoft approved and pushed the Fall 2022 update to Release Channel of the beta testing program of .

w11 new build

As you probably know, the Release Preview Channel is the final step in the testing process before the release of the new version. In the Release Preview Channel, the next major Windows 11 update will be fixed based on user feedback.

The company has already confirmed that Build 22621 is the RTM of Windows 11 22H2. So after the RTM is finalized, the next step in the testing process is a wider rollout through the channel s. Later this month, Microsoft will start pushing Build 22621 cumulative updates with additional bug fixes and perhaps some minor features.

Windows 11 21H2, which is the original version of the operating system, was released last year on October 5 with a lot of problems. So Microsoft wants to give extra time to the first big update of Windows 11 and improve its testing standards to avoid (supposedly) future problems.

If you can not wait for the official release, you can upgrade to Windows 11 22H2 from the Release Preview Channel.

Windows 11 22H2 is not a huge release, but it does bring a lot of new features. For example, Microsoft is preparing new features in the Start menu, a redesigned Task Manager, integrating Mica into more applications, and returning drag and drop to the taskbar, among others.
