Microsoft allows Windows 11 insiders to test Android applications on their system. A preview version of Windows Subsystem for Android, released for Windows 11 insiders today, gives access to apps from the Amazon Appstore.
So insiders with Intel, AMD and Qualcomm processors can try Android apps on Windows 11.
Applications can be downloaded through the Microsoft Store, which will display them but then direct you to the Amazon Appstore for download and installation.
Android apps can run alongside your other Windows apps, will appear in the task view, and you can pin them to the menu Start Or in line tasks.
"You can view Android app notifications in Action Center or share your clipboard from a Windows application to your Android application." he says the Android integration team.
"We have developed the experience based on accessibility. "Many Windows accessibility settings apply to Android applications, and we're working with Amazon to offer more enhancements."
Microsoft has partnered with Amazon to develop 50 applications for Windows Insiders so they can test them in Windows 11.
