If you are running Windows 7, Vista or XP, Windows 8.1 is only available as a standalone purchase. The license will cost 90 euros, while the Pro version will reach 150.
Microsoft is trying to fix a lot with this version issues that made Windows 8 users unhappy. Its sales were not the best as Windows 8 has acquired a rather controversial name at the market. Will they fix things? No one knows. With the upgrade we will find out, although the changes that are coming do not concern the core of the system but rather its external appearance. Is "look" more important than "is" for Microsoft?
