The classic application of Windows Notepad has found a new home at Microsoft Store. Now you can search for it and download it from there.
Microsoft, starting with Windows 10 20H1, it seems that it wants to turn Notepad into a standalone app in the Store. This does not mean that the Notebook will be excluded from the installation of Windows 10. It will remain connected to the operating system and comes with it. But Microsoft is changing the way the app will receive its updates.
Notepad upgrades are no longer associated with the Windows 10 Update program. It will receive standalone updates like any other Store app.
According to the company, change this will allow them to quickly respond to issues and feedback about Notepad and deliver new features to users of the application much more immediately.
Notepad is one of the classic Windows applications that rarely had an update. However, starting with Windows 10 Build 17661, Notepad has received many new features and enhancements.
