New International Innovation and Development Policies focuses on the International Conference WIRE 2014 organized by the National Documentation Center (ESF) and the European Commission, in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research and Technology within the framework of the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in Athens, at 12-13 June.
Το Συνέδριο "Week of Innovative Regions in Europe 2014" (WIRE V ή WIRE 2014 ) (www.wire2014.eu) is the most important European dialogue forum for Regional Strategies, Innovation & Development, where the relevant European financial programs will be presented, in the presence of the European Commission Commissioner for issues of Research, Innovation and Science Máire Geoghegan-Quinn.
Το συνέδριο WIRE 2014, που πραγματοποιείται για πέμπτη συνεχή χρονιά, έχει καθιερωθεί ως η δημόσια συζήτηση για νέες πολιτικές και προγράμματα περιφερειακής ανάπτυξης. Για το 2014 συμπίπτει με την έναρξη του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος "Ορίζοντας 2020" για την έρευνα και καινοτομία, και των νέων Ευρωπαϊκών Διαρθρωτικών και Επενδυτικών Ταμείων, και αναδεικνύει εργαλεία και καλές πρακτικές για την αποτελεσματική υλοποίηση των Στρατηγικών Ευφυούς Εξειδίκευσης των Περιφερειών της Ευρώπης.
The WIRE 2014 conference will bring together representatives from the Regions, Research, Innovation and Enterprise sector at both European and national level and will promote dialogue in three main themes: a) European Regional Development Funding 2014-2020 development, b) Entrepreneurship as a lever for Innovation in the Regions, c) Scientific Excellence, Open Data and Exploitation of Knowledge for Regional Development.
Στη θεματική ενότητα "Ευρωπαϊκή Χρηματοδότηση για Περιφερειακή Ανάπτυξη την περίοδο 2014-2020" θα παρουσιαστούν οι βασικές προτεραιότητες της τρέχουσας προγραμματικής περιόδου, για την έρευνα, την καινοτομία, την επιχειρηματικότητα και την περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη. Οι σύνεδροι θα παρουσιάσουν το νέο θεσμικό πλαίσιο που διέπει την ευρωπαϊκή χρηματοδότηση από τα Διαρθρωτικά Ταμεία και το Ταμείο Συνοχής, και θα αναδείξουν τον ρόλο της οικονομίας της γνώσης και τη σημασία της περιφερειακής συνεργασίας και των συνεργειών για την επίτευξη των στόχων της περιφερειακής πολιτικής.
Η θεματική ενότητα "Επιχειρηματικότητα ως μοχλός για την Καινοτομία στις Περιφέρειες" θα εξετάσει τους συνδέσμους μεταξύ της περιφερειακής καινοτομίας και της επιχειρηματικής απόδοσης, και θα παρουσιάσει τους τρόπους με τους οποίους οι επιχειρήσεις μπορούν να συνεισφέρουν στο οικοsystem of knowledge. The speakers in this module, with long-standing experience, will present key achievements and good practices regarding the design, adoption and implementation of successful Intelligent Specialization Strategies (RIS3).
Η χρήση των ανοικτών δεδομένων και η ελεύθερη διάχυση της γνώσης είναι βασικές προϋποθέσεις της περιφερειακής και τοπικής ανάπτυξης, της καινοτομίας και της επιχειρηματικότητας. Η θεματική ενότητα του συνεδρίου WIRE 2014 "Επιστημονική Αριστεία, Ανοικτά Δεδομένα και Αξιοποίηση της Γνώσης για περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη" αναδεικνύει τη σημασία των δεικτών για την Έρευνα, την Ανάπτυξη και την Καινοτομία στον σχεδιασμό, τον προγραμματισμό, την παρακολούθηση και την αποτίμηση περιφερειακών πολιτικών.
The official language of the conference is English and more than 400 people from 30 countries have already signed up: officials of the European Commission and international agencies, representatives from Regions, local government organizations, transport agencies technology and business contacts, representatives of research centers and academic institutions, etc.
