The preparation of WordCamp Athens 2016 is running at a rapid pace. The Organizing Team of the largest technology conference in Greece for 2016, announced the first sponsors of the conference, the first speakers, thetreatment of Contributor Day, while he did not miss to bless her beard to present itself in the Greek community of WordPress and not only.
Contributor Day
On Sunday November 20 2016, just one day after the main event of WordCamp Athens 2016, the Contributor Day will take place in the coworking space Found.ation, Evrystheos 2 & Piraeus 123. Contributor days are the culmination of a WordCamp. It is an opportunity for every member of the community to relax with organizers and speakers with the main purpose of becoming familiar with the ways and means by which they can give back some of the good energy which he will have imbibed the previous day. Experienced members of the local WordPress community will be there to guide you through this.
The contributor day will take part 60 selected participants of WordCamp Athens 2016. In the next few days, registrations will be announced for this day. Posts will be strictly assigned in order of priority. The list will be FIFO. That is tail. For this, prevent!
The First 6 Speakers
The organizing team has a headache because it has received many good requests for speeches at WordCamp Athens. The first spoken-shins have already been selected.
With enthusiasm, then, WordCamp Athens welcomes first group of speakers , who will share their experiences and knowledge with us. We present them to them Petya Raykovska, Nemanja Aleksic and Gerasimos Tsialos.
H second group of speakers consists of Stella Kasdagli, Yoav Farhiand Fotis Routsis. All three will give their valuable knowledge on issues related to content, in WP-CLI and open data, respectively.
The Team
Near the end of May, when everyone was getting ready for their first trips to the beaches, the WordPress Athens meetup team started scouting. Not for some big transfer to a football team, but to find the right ones people who will help organize the first WordCamp Athens in Greece. Within days, the group had been found. Fifteen WordPress junkies, with diverse starting points and professions made the first online hangout and shared responsibilities.
