Last night the new version of WordPress 5.3 was released! It was named "Kirk" in honor of jazz artist Rahsaan Roland Kirk.
The WordPress 5.3 Kirk version expands the capabilities and improves the existing block processor. New processor capabilities enhance design capabilities, provide additional design options and style variations that give designers more control over the look of a website.
This release also brings the theme of Twenty Twenty giving the user more design flexibility with the block processor.
This update brings over 150 new features and improvements, including improved support large images for uploading unoptimized, high-resolution photos taken by your smartphone or other high-quality cameras. Combined with larger default image sizes, images will always look better.

If you are an admin and do not visit the site, the new version will periodically email you to confirm your email address. This will reduce the risk of being locked out if you change your email address.
