Apple announced its new mobile operating system system. iOS 9 adds some stability, performance, privacy fixes, and brings a much smarter personal assistant (Siri).
Apple's Craig Federighi who made the presentation said that Siri can learn your habits, and adapt them to your applications. He will know when you are not at work and will introduce you to Athens locking your phone's music app.
The personal assistant Siri will be able to detect if you are traveling and will automatically deliver to you information for circulation.
Apple has also made some major improvements to the Maps app in iOS 9. It has added public transport routes, and arrival times, but in limited countries to begin with (The Greece is not included).
Search has also been improved in iOS 9 (as in OS X) and will now display information from apps on the device.
The new operating system adds some useful features for the iPad. For example, with the Quicktype feature, you can press two fingers on the screen and your entire screen will become a touchpad.
Apple also added multitasking to the iPad with split-screen mode.
Most importantly though, you can now split your screen so that two apps run simultaneously with full multi-touch control.
