Did you buy a Xiaomi Mi 4c and want to start the modifications on your device? To get started, you'll need to access the root of your smartphone. Let's see how it works.
Probably the easiest way to get root on a Xiaomi Mi 4c device is to download a rom developer from her website English MIUI.
Select the download link, use the available filters to locate your device, and make sure to download the latest Developer rom on the download page.
Why Developer rom? Because it is already rooted. We suggest you use a download manager to speed up the download as downloads from China can be notoriously slow.
When the download is complete, connect your device to your computer. If your computer cannot detect the smartphone (Xiaomi Mi 4c) by default, you should first install the programs driving.
An easy way to add the required driver to your system is by installing the official Mi PC Suite available in English. Of course you can find drivers on the device itself when you connect it to your computer.
Your device should be automatically recognized after the drivers are installed. Move the downloaded ROM file to the "downloaded_rom" folder of the device. You can use the File Explorer of PC Suite and drag it and drop it, or with Windows Explorer.
It is a good idea to make a backup using PC Suite.
Let's move on to Rooting of Xiaomi Mi 4c
This rooting could not be simpler. You need to open the Updater application on the device located in the Tools folder.
Select the application menu icon and from there "select update package."
This opens a browser and displays the ROM you added to the downloaded_rom folder on your device.
It takes one to two minutes to install the new rom file and the device may rebootmovement automatically during installation.
Then you can check that everything went well. Select Settings - About phone, and make sure the version displayed matches the version of the ROM you just installed.
Xiaomi Mi 4c After Rooting
You already have a rooted device, but you will need to take a final step before you can use it.
Xiaomi blocks root for installed apps by default. So you should root access and for installed third-party applications. You can do this by opening the security app on your device and selecting Permissions under that category.
There you can select "root access." From there you can choose which applications you want to enable root access.
Note that you will see four or five "please wait five seconds, are you sure?" to enable root access on the selected application.
