Chinese company Xiaomi confirmed last week that it will announce the Xiaomi MI5 at the trade show Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016.
According to Xiaomi's Vice President, Huo Barra, MI5 will officially be featured at MWC 2016 on February 24. At the same time, the company plans to sell the new smartphone in China.
Xiaomi MI5 will come pre-installed with the operating system Android 6.0 Marshmallow, along with MIUI 7,0.
What we do not know is that Xiaomi's partnership with Microsoft for the release of Windows Mobile 10 ROM on Mi4 will be extended to the upcoming device.
According to a new publication they come from directly from China, Xiaomi plans to release a version of MI5 running Windows 10 Mobile on February 24.
Both versions should be available on the market at the same time, but their prices could be different. The good news is that Xiaomi will not make changes to hardware configuration, so both Android and Windows Mobile smartphones 10 will have the same specifications.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed this information.

The device is rumored to include a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and will have 3GB or 4GB RAM.
There is no mention of a microSD card slot, but rumors suggest that the Xiaomi MI5 will be powered by one battery 3.600 mAh with technology fast charging.
What we know for sure is the new Xiaomi MI5 will be available in four different color options: Black, Gold, Pink and White.
