Xiaomi, a Chinese company, is preparing to release a mid-range Android smartphone, Redmi 3 on January 12.
However, Xiaomi officially unveiled the Redmi 3 today and announced that the smartphone will "walk" first on the shelves of Chinese stores on January 12.
So the Chinese first will be able to acquire the mobile, for 700 yuan (about 105 dollars) in three colors Gold, classic gold, silver, and dark gray.
Xiaomi has not announced anything about its global availability devices, but as usual the company will make it available in the other markets after a few months.
Except for the low price, the main point of Redmi 3 that will make the device breathtaking, is the 4.100 mAh battery with fast charging technology.
It is also worth noting that the Xiaomi Redmi 3 will be released with MIUI 7 based on the Android Lollipop operating system.
On the back, the Redmi 3 sports a 13-megapixel camera that features phase-detection autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while on the front, there's a secondary camera of 5-megapixels.
Xiaomi's mid-range device is equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, clocked at 1.5GHz, combined with anwork Adreno 405 graphics and 2GB RAM.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes with 16GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB with the reception of the microSD card it has. Also, the device has 4G LTE connectivity, Hybrid dual-SIM but lacks 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS and GLONASS.
The Redmi 3 touch screen is 5 inch and supports HD resolution (720p).
