It will try to identify the song that usesin the video, as long as it starts playing in the first minute. The AHA Music extension keeps a history of all the songs it has found for you, so you can easily search for them again. You can instantly stream the song on Spotify.
The extension seems worth it, but this one minute limit should be gone, as if you want to recognize a song that starts much later, you will need to use another application.

When you copy one to a YouTube video, the video starts over. However, by adding the form & t = YmXXs at the end of the URL at the time you want, you can start the video exactly where you want it.
