Late but it came: YouTube has finally added support for live streaming on mobile apps. In this way, content creators can stream video directly from their phones.
The fact that the biggest video platform in the world has been so long to bring this possibility is quite odd, as the idea has been released since Meerkat last year and then adopted by Twitter's Periscope and recently came up with Facebook Live.
Of course a battle between the three companies, helps end-users.
From screenshots that were published, the new feature seems to offer the same user experience with the YouTube application and will be similar to Periscope, with incoming chat messages from viewers and the ability to restrict viewing to private groups if necessary.
Live streaming for mobile devices will be released soon to all users.
