Late but here it comes: YouTube has finally added support for live streaming to applications for mobile phones. This way content creators can stream videos directly from their phones.
The fact that the largest video platform of world that it took so long to bring this feature is quite surprising, as the concept was already launched by Meerkat last year and then adopted by Twitter's Periscope and recently came with Facebook Live.
Of course a battle between the three companies helps the finals users.
From screenshots that were published, the new feature seems to offer the same user experience with the YouTube application and will be similar to Periscope, with incoming chat messages from viewers and the ability to restrict viewing to private groups if necessary.
Live streaming for mobile devices will be released soon to all users.
