In this year's Sony World competition for the best award photos of 2014, 139.554 were submitted photos from 166 countries. Today the organizing committee revealed a list of the best from which the awardees will be selected.
There are two categories, professional and lovetechnique, and the images cover the whole spectrum of the wild natures, and of human life: from the wild landscapes of Kenya, to the Inuit whalers. The photos are fascinating and moving. Never once themetheirs are not pretty, and they touch on serious issues.
