Microsoft withdrew the update security KB4524244 after being found to cause various critical issues. The update is supposed to resolve some issues with the UEFI boot manager.
Update KB4524244 has been released for Windows 10 in versions 1607, 1703, 1709, 1803, 1809, 1903 and 1909 as a standalone security update. It was part of it Patch Tuesday February.
Many of those who have already installed update KB4524244 report that their operating system freezes, while others report that they cannot install it.
The Microsoft Support Page he says:
This standalone security update has been removed because of an issue affecting a subset of devices. Will not be re-released from Windows Update Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or the Microsoft Update Catalog. Removing this standalone security update will not affect the installation or any changes to other security updates as of February 11, 2020.
If you have this update installed and you have problems, Microsoft recommends removing it.
Click Browse Windows Desktop, type update history, and select View your Update history.
In the Update History window, select Uninstall Updates.
In the Installed Updates window, find KB4524244 and click Uninstall button.
Restart your device.
