Microsoft withdrew information security KB4524244 after being found to cause various critical issues. The update is supposed to resolve some issues with the UEFI boot manager.

Many of those who have already installed the KB4524244 update are reporting that their OS system freezes, while others say they can not install it.
The Microsoft Support Page he says:
This standalone security update has been removed due to an issue affecting a subset of devices. It will not relaunch from Windows Update, the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or the Microsoft Update Catalog. Removing this standalone security update will not affect the installation or any changes to other security updates as of February 11, 2020.
If you have this update installed and you have problems, Microsoft recommends removing it.
