Intracom Telecom, an international provider of telecommunications systems and solutions, announces the donation of five advanced mobile units telemedicines to the Ministry of Health of Greece, thereby contributing to the effective monitoring and management of issues healths at any point, especially in the remote and isolated areas.
As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads globally and cases in Greece are on the rise, Intracom Telecom has decided to donate these advanced mobile telemedicine units to the Ministry of Health in order to further equip the health personnel of the emergency teams, enabling them to respond with speed and effectiveness in the emergencies it manages.
Mr. Michalis Prountzos, Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services of Intracom Telecom, pointed out: "We feel it is our responsibility to contribute, in close cooperation with the State, to the ongoing fight against COVID-19. At the same time, it is our commitment to continue to develop innovative technologies that improve the quality of life of both our fellow citizens and the visitors of the country. This donation aims to strengthen the health system of our country, in order for it to successfully cope with the fight against COVID-19, as well as similar needs ".
The portable unit τηλεϊατρικής, περιλαμβάνει ψηφιακές ιατρικές συσκευές/όργανα τα οποία και συνδέονται διαδικτυακά με το Εθνικό Δίκτυο Τηλεϊατρικής (ΕΔΙΤ), δίνοντας έτσι στις ομάδες άμεσης επέμβασης τη δυνατότητα αποστολής των δεικτών υγείας των ασθενών σε κεντρικά νοσοκομεία άμεσα, ευέλικτα και με ακρίβεια προκειμένου να λάβουν σε πραγματικό χρόνο τις κατάλληλες ιατρικές οδηγίες. Υπενθυμίζεται ότι η Intracom Telecom συμμετέχει στο έργο του ΕΔΙΤ το οποίο συνδέει 71 μονάδες τηλεϊατρικής στα νησιά του Αιγαίου με κεντρικά νοσοκομεία της 2ης Υγειονομικής Περιφέρειας Piraeus and Aegean.
