A Portland couple recently had an unpleasant surprise that forced them to get in touch with her support Amazon customers, but to no avail. A smart speaker from the company reportedly recorded a private conversation between the couple and sent it to a person on their contact list.
In their misfortune, they were also lucky, as at that moment they were talking about the floors of their home.
The thriller didn't stop there: Later one of the husband's employees called to say he had just received a strange audio message. A recording of a conversation between the couple.
According to one Publication from KIRO7, Danielle, who asked not to be named, said she did not believe it at first. But when the recipient sent her the recordings, she "felt invaded."
But it gets worse: Amazon's support staff could not understand why this is happening. Danielle claims that the technicians told her they were looking at everything but could not find out what happened. So no explanation was given.
Amazon reportedly confirmed the incident with KIRO7, but reportedly has not yet provided any explanation to substantiate it.
Here to mention that Amazon's decision to participate in government prelettersurveillance, we should be more concerned about the more than 40 million devices the company managed to put in homea of consumers.
