Anonymous started the #OpIcarus, One business που έχει σαν στόχο το παγκόσμιο τραπεζικό σύστημα. Ο πρώτος τους στόχος ήταν η Τράπεζα της Ελλάδας, με attacks DDoS that started yesterday and was first reported by SecNews.gr.
With Icarus (Op Icarus), Anonymous has scheduled DDoS attacks in four sections.
These include websites belonging to the US Federal Reserve Bank, the second section concerns IMF target pages, the third World Bank websites, and the fourth includes 158 national banks. In the last section, there are banks from all over the world, even from underdeveloped countries.
The first bank struck by DDoS attacks was the Bank of Greece as we mentioned above, but the group seems to have higher goals.
"We must strike at the heart of their empire,…. the global financial system. "This time our target is the New York Stock Exchange, and the Bank of England," Anonymous said in the video below.
