Η Google is preparing to create a major cable service on YouTube (for streaming cable TV) called "Unplugged," according to a Bloomberg publication.
YouTube is reported to revise its internal structure for Unplugged, and plans to release the new service possibly before 2017.
Google is reportedly also in talks with major cable companies such as Comcast, NBCUniversal, Viacom, and 21st Century Foxand CBS to find content, though no deals are believed to be forthcoming.
The subscription service will bring line video content to YouTube, and offer "custom" packages. According to the publication, Google is still looking for ways to distribute the content.
It could offer packages, which will begin with 35 dollars. Otherwise, Google is also considering a non-popular rows offer offer at a lower price.
Needless to say, such a service would be a big win for YouTube, although it appears that television networks they continue to exercise control.
When Apple tried to do something similar for Apple TV, it was facing the same difficulties, and it seems (no news for a long time) to give up trying. Sling TV is the only provider that has succeeded in this model but has been supported by DISH.
