Antergos is a modern, sleek and powerful operating system based on Arch Linux. It was launched under the name Cinnarch, combining Cinnamon desktop with with the Arch Linux distribution.
Since then the project has progressed from its initial goals and offers several different desktop options, including: GNOME 3 (default), Cinnamon, Razor-qt and Xfce. Antergos has its own graphics program installations.
Functional like all of the forks of Arch Linux, is not suitable for novice Linux users. If you have already worked with Linux, (even with Ubuntu or Mint) you will not have much trouble.
As mentioned above Antergos has its own Cnchi graphical installer. The installer boots into a GNOME desktop, but during installation it gives the options to choose between several different desktops such as: GNOME 3, Cinnamon, Mate, KDE, Xfce and open box.
The network connection is required to start the installation as before it is automatically updated the Cnchi installation program.
