Apple has been released last night a new software upgrade: iOS 11.4 is here for all supported iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. The update comes with a few new features and many security and bug fixes.
iOS 11.4 was released about a month after the release of iOS 11.3.1 to further improve security, compatibility and stability on iOS devices. But this is the first version with the feature Messages in iCloud, which allows users to save their messaging conversations to their iCloud accounts for easy sync across all their devices.
So after upgrading to iOS 11.4, you'll be prompted by the Messages app to enable Messages in iCloud, which Apple has enabled by default for those using Authenticator two factors in iCloud.
Another new feature that this version brings is AirPlay 2. The feature offers stereo mapping and polyphonic audio support on the Apple Smart HomePod as well as the Apple TV.
AirPlay 2 allows iOS users to control their AirPlay 2-enabled home audio systems, play music on multiple speakers in their home, control AirPlay 2 speakers from the iOS Control Center or the display locking του iPhone και του iPad. Ο έλεγχος θα μπορεί να γίνεται και μέσω της Siri, από το Apple TV και το HomePod, ενώ θα μπορείτε να λαμβάνετε κλήσεις ή να παίζετε gamea without stopping playback.
IOS 11.4 fixes many issues of the previous version, such as a bug that prevented users from logging in or accessing files in Google Docs, Google Drive and Gmail from the Safari browser.
The iOS 11.4 update is available for download and installation via OTA (Over-the-Air).
IOS 11.4 (15F79) can run on devices: iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 5s, 9.7 Chinch and 12.9 ‑ inch iPad Pro, 2nd generation 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 5th and 6th generation iPad, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, and iPod touch 6th generation.
