Because security should not only be online, Apple will probably have to reconsider Apple Stores security practices, as iPhone thieves seem to be dismayed. Totally, though.
His Police Department San Francisco released footage from two recent robberies at an Apple Store in the Bay Area. The robberies took place on November 25 and November 29 at region of Chestnut Street in San Francisco.
The first video shows three assailants breaking into the Apple Store and quickly (in less than 15 seconds) emptying the front shelves. Similarly, the second clip shows four perpetrators grabbing what they can in identical rhythms.
In both cases, staff and customers were scared and simply watched the perpetrators pick up devices from the shelves.
The police hope that with the release of the video will lead to the capture of the perpetrators, who until now remain unintelligible.
We should mention that this type of robbery is a frequent phenomenon in New York. In July, the New York Police Department announced that robbers dressed as Apple employees removed iPhones from its stores. In October, thieves removed smartphones worth $13.000 from another Apple store in Massachusetts.
