Because security should not only exist online, Apple should probably review Apple's security practices Stores, as iPhone thieves seem to have become disenchanted. Totally though..
The San Francisco Police Department provided footage from two recent robberies in store of Apple (Apple Store) in the Bay Area. The robberies took place on November 25 and November 29 in the Chestnut Street area of San Francisco.
The first video shows three perpetrators invading the Apple Store and with quick movements (in less than 15 seconds) emptying the front shelves. Similarly, in the second clip, four actors show that they can at identical times.
In both cases, staff and customers were scared and simply watched the perpetrators pick up devices from the shelves.
The police hope that with the release of the video will lead to the capture of the perpetrators, who until now remain unintelligible.
We should mention that this type of robbery is a frequent phenomenon in New York. In July, the New York Police Department announced that robbers dressed as Apple employees removed iPhones from its stores. In October, thieves made off with $13.000 worth of smartphones from another Apple store in Massachusetts.
