Arch Linux project a new ISO snapshot (Arch Linux 2018.10.01) was released today for those who want an updated installation medium for fresh installs of the operating system.
Arch Linux 2018.10.01 contains Linux kernel 4.18.10, and includes all the latest software updates and security patches released throughout September 2018.
This means you won't need to download hundreds of updates after installing Arch Linux on a new one computer.
Recall that Arch Linux is one rolling operating system that follows a rolling update rollout model. So if the user of the distribution performs the updates he does not need to install any new version of the operating system.
