In the morning we mentioned Microsoft's plans to release Update 2 for Windows 8.1. The company has confirmed a new package of improvements for Windows 8.1 and the date of its release on August 12, as part of its regular Patch Tuesday.
At the same time, the company publicly denied the rumors that reported that the update of Windows 8.1 will be called Update 2.
Brandon LeBlanc of Microsoft said:
"Despite rumors and speculation, we do not plan to release an Update 2 for Windows 8.1."
On the other hand, Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 8.1 will receive a new major update on August 12, but it will bring big changes to operating system. There will be no long-awaited Start menus.
