"Our application was designed to offer users a real solution to a problem faced by residents of Athens every day. The ability to pre-purchase metro tickets is excellent, but being able to validate them through a face recognition system ensures a simple but so advanced customer experience", - stated Nikolaos Dimos from Team TEKCIT.

The winning team created an application based on a personalized customer facing application, with AngularJS and Ruby on Rails technology, providing an interface for both mobile and web, with the support of various servers.BattleHack

A Raspberry Pi computer hosted a NodeJS server, taking the place of a Point of Sales (point of sale) and managing the face recognition of users' digital photos, through an OpenCV library. This was interfaced with the Ruby on Rails application, from a backend .

Among the many improbable ideas and suggestions, the Team TECKIT stood out with the application he presented not only because of the impressive embodiments he used but also because he is an original and authentic product that can help the city of Athens, he said John Lunn.
