During the Mobile World Congress 2015 BlackBerry revealed that a new slider smartphone will be released this year.
Slider smartphones are not common these days, but the company she is looking for something that will help her regain the interest of the buying public. The company hasn't revealed much about this device, but several images showing the new device have been leaked since then.
The last ones that we will present today show the slider mechanism of the BlackBerry device Venice.
The new device, apart from the slider that makes it stand out, will also be released with Android operating system. The following images essentially represent the first Android-powered BlackBerry device that, as the company has suggested, will feature many security optimizations inspired by BB10.
According to recent leaks, the device will have a quad HD 5,4 convex screen and a full QWERTY keyboard that will go below the screen.
As for the specifications: it will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM, it will have a camera 16 megapixel on the back with an optical stabilizer pictures, and will run on an optimized Android Lollipop that will carry BlackBerry's security signature.
