With the Bleep we first dealt with it at the end of 2014, όταν κυκλοφόρησε σαν private beta. Η εφαρμογή ανταλλαγής μηνυμάτων, που διατίθεται για τις κινητές platforms Android και iOS, και τα λειτουργικά συστήματα desktop with of Windows and Mac OS X, promises end-to-end encryption of messages in a decentralized environment.
Η BitTorrent yesterday released the Bleep app to everyone with new features and several improvements.
Let's take another look at the application to see what has changed and how it works.
The first great feature of the Bleep app is that you don't need to register to start using it usesth. All you have to do is enter a nickname, which your friends and contacts will see in their contact bar and in chat.
But you can add a phone number or e-mail, so your friends can find you more easily.
But this is completely optional and if you do not want to do it, it is not necessary, as there is another option to add contacts to the Bleep.
All Vleep facilities use public and private keys, and offer options to add contacts using public keys. So, to add a contact without revealing anything to you, you can simply add their public key to see the contact in your VoIP.
On mobile devices, this is usually done by scanning a QR Code using the built-in Bleep scanner while computer users need to enter the public key manually.
To contact, select a contact and start writing your message. One of the new features of Bleep is the whisper option used to send messages that are self-destructing from mobile devices or computer applications.
Note that you must hold the Shift key on your computer to send a whisper, as there is no clue or button that you can press as it exists on mobile devices.
The message will appear on the recipient's device as a new whisper message. If activated, it also appears after 25 seconds is automatically deleted.
The VoIP app not only supports text messaging and photo sending but also supports audio calls. Simply activate the call option after you have selected the account you want to call from within the Bleep.
Of course there is not a lot of messaging applications, but the Bleep stands out in various ways.
For example, it can be used without revealing information about who uses it and without having to sign an account.
All links are instantly encrypted end-to-end so your personal information or metadata will not leak to a Cloud server or somewhere else on the internet.
