It's been a long time since the project was officially announced for mobile platform of the operating system, but apparently the first Ubuntu smartphone will be released in Europe, at a price that will not exceed 170 euros.
The company had announced the project since February of last year, but it seems that the date deliverys fell out a bit. So in 2015 the new smartphone appeared with the name BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition.
The exact date, time and URL of online sales (to be released online only and only in Europe for the first time at least) will be revealed via its Twitter and Facebook accounts BQ and Ubuntu. The way the two companies have chosen is undoubtedly a great way to increase their fans in social networks.
Key features of the device include an 4,5 inch screen, a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage disc, dual SIM slots and microSD support.
The Ubuntu mobile platform supports applications with HTML5.
More details will be revealed from the beginning of next week, but what we know for now is that there is a limited number of devices. It is remarkable that the device will be released first in Europe and not in the US,
