A Chinese national, Huang Yu, 48, was sentenced to death by a court in his country for selling classified documents to strangers secret services foreign countries.
The news came from her Shanghai Daily which cites its Central Television news bulletin China(CCTV).
Huang worked between 2002 and 2004 as a computer technician for a government research institute in China's Sichuan province, until he was fired due to poor performance work.
Following his sudden dismissal, Huang decided to contact a foreign intelligence agency via the Internet and offer the classified documents he obtained and had copies in his home.
Ο Chinese Huang then met with foreign agents for over 21 times and delivered over 150.000 classified documents containing information about an encrypted system developed in the research institute he was working for, but also about the leadership of the Communist Party of China as well as the military and economic activities of the country.
Huang was arrested 2011. There are no details of the trial that has taken place, but not even if the death penalty has been executed or not.
Twenty-nine of Huang's former colleagues were also sentenced for the same reason, including his wife and his brother.
