Chrome 68: New Not Secure Version for All HTTP Pages

Google has released the new Chrome 68 browser for all supported browsers , Windows, Linux and macOS. The new version is a major update as it changes the way users are notified about the of web pages using the HTTP protocol.

Chrome 68

From this version, Google Chrome will report all the that still use HTTP as Not Secure. The notification will appear in the address bar.

Prior to this release, Google Chrome showed that pages were not secure only when they were using HTTP and were asking the user to provide sensitive information such as passwords or credit card details, for example.

This change is only part of a wider Google plan to make the web safer. The next great version of Chrome browser (69 version), as we reported on previous publication will remove the HTTPS indicator, which means that when you open a with the secure HTTPS protocol, you won't see the green padlock.

Of course, you can download the new version of Google Chrome for Windows, Linux and macOS from the link below.
