Chrome 77 comes with permanent Guest Mode

Google released version 77 ( 77) of the Google Chrome browser for Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android and iOS users.

Η includes an improved UI that removes the pointer to EV (extended validation) certificates from the browser's address bar.

Google considered that EV indicators were rather useless for the security and authenticity of websites and removed them from the new version. Many security officials agreed with Google's decision.

The from EV will still be available, but will not be displayed to users in the URL bar.

The new Chrome 77 includes many new features that will help developers measure the performance of their web pages. The most useful of these is a new measurement called "Largest Contentful Paint". The new feature is available in the Developer Tools section of Chrome.

Developers can use the new tool to measure how much time Chrome needs to load a readable version of a site while the rest of the site is still loading.

Another news feature that comes with Chrome 77 will allow system administrators to impose settings on Chrome browsers running within a business.

Chrome 77 brings a new policy called "BrowserGuestModeEnforced".

“If this policy is enabled, Google Chrome will prevent it on a profile," Google says. "Only Guest logins will be allowed, and all windows will be in incognito mode."
