Google has released Chrome 84 Stable, the latest version of the program tours Google Chrome, to the public on July 14, 2020. The new version is a security update, but it brings other changes and improvements to Browser.

Η announcement on the official Chrome Release blog, is as usual vague as the updates address security vulnerabilities. The company states that the update includes 38 security fixes and that at least one of them fixes a critical vulnerability in older versions of the browser (heap buffer overflow buffer, CVE-2020-6510).
Google continues the gradual release of SameSite, which was initially released with Chrome 80, but suspended the release a little later.
SameSite restricts access to cookie of the default browser. Google Chrome 84 will be the first version of Chrome to stop them alerts from the sites that abuse the feature.
Google removed the older TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols in Chrome 84 and plans to completely remove the support in some future version. Currently, both protocols are still supported.
Chrome 84 will alert users if they try to download something from an unsafe environment.
The next stable release of Google Chrome is scheduled for August 25, 2020.
